Centre of Continuous & Practical Education
in Bielsko-Biała

The Centre of Continuous and Practical Education in Bielsko-Biała with the headquarters at 34 Lipnicka Street was established on the date of the 1st of February 2006 out of a merge of two outposts - the Centre of Continuous Education and the Centre of Practical Education.

The whole Centre employs 104 persons - 67 teachers and 37 workers of admininstation and service who together serve a population of about 1160 students and listeners. They have the opportunity to attend lectures and participate in vocational trainings.

The Centre of Continuous and Practical Education

The Centre of Continuous Education is a public institution so it means it is free of charge. It is an educational establishment called upon the decision of the school superintendent in Bielsko-Biała on the 31st of December 1993.

On the 1st of July 1995 upon the decision of the school superintendent in Bielsko-Biała a building at 34 Lipnicka Street was transfered to the Centre of Continuous Education.

On the 1st of February 2001 upon the decision of the Town Council in Bielsko-Biała the Provincial Institute of Technology together with the neighbouring estates at 9 Listopadowa Street were joined to the Centre of Continuous Education.

According to the Curriculum the Centre provides education for adults as intramural and extra-mural studies in the following outposts:

• Complementary Technical School for Adults Nr 1 in professions:
  • technician of tradesman
  • technician of gardener
  • technician of mechanics
  • technician of electronics
• Profiled Secondary School for Adults in an economical and administrative profile
• Technical School for Adults in profession of a technician of economy
• Upper-Secondary School Nr 7 in profession of a technician of accountancy

Since 2001 The Institute of Technology has been fulfilling the following objectives:

• Help schools in realization of the subject of techniology and computer science
• Realize the content in a range of communicative education
• Improve teachers' practical and technical abilities

The Centre of Practical Education

The Centre of Practical Education was established by the Town Council in Bielsko-Biała on the 14th of June 2005 and it began its activity on the 1st of September 2005.

The Centre of Practical Education provides practical training for students and listeners from vocational schools in in Bielsko-Biała.

The Centre of Practical Education emerged from the basis of school workshops excluded from:

• The Unit of Technical and Trade School with the headquarters at 15 Rejtana Street in Bielsko-Biała
• The Unit of Motor and Secondary School with the headquarters at 44-46 Legionów Street in Bielsko-Biała
• The Unit of Electronical, Electrical and Mechanical School with the headquarters at 34 Krasińskiego Street in Bielsko-Biała
• Industry School with the headquarters at 20 Sixta Street, currently at 37 Krasińskiego Street in Bielsko-Biała

The Centre of Continuous and Practical Education in Bielsko-Biała has got the authorization of District Examination Commission in Jaworzno for organization of the practical part of the final exam in professions:

• Tradesman
• Mechanic
• Tailor
• Elecromechanic of vehicles
• Iron-worker
• Mechanic-electronic
• Technician of economy
• Technician of trade
• Technician of accountancy

State Examination Commission was called upon the decision of Silesian school superintendent to carry out exams for students outside school in a range of secondary school curriculum based on 8-year-long primary school, 3-year-long fundamental school and gymnasium.
